Read these operating instructions carefully before installing and operating the milling machine.

The rotary instrument flings off shavings during milling and drilling. Always put on safety glasses
before operating this milling machine.
Always comply with the safety precautions for rotary instruments. Risk of injury.
Only use original spare parts and accessories for the F3 I
way of ensuring that the performance figures and safety standards are attained.
Do not open the milling machine. There are dangerously high voltages inside this milling machine.
Maintenance work and repairs must only be carried out by authorized service technicians.
To prevent short-circuiting and damage to the milling machine, protect it against moisture.
If the milling machine is not used for a longer period of time, it should be unplugged from the
mains supply.
5 Description of the product
The F3 I
is an electric milling machine for fabricating high precision dental restorations.

6 Installation
The F3 I
milling machine is a bench unit.

• Place the milling machine on a sturdy bench to ensure that it can be used safely and precisely.
• Push the drawer into the base of the milling machine.
• Insert the milling spindle into the holder on the milling arm. Ensure that the positioning pin, which is
visible in the spindle holder, locks into the groove in the milling spindle.
• Turn the locking nut to lock the milling spindle (A) (Figure 1).
• Plug the milling spindle cable into the socket in the column and tighten the ring on the plug (B) (Figure 1).
• Use the quick-link coupling (C) to connect the compressed air hose to the right side of the milling
machine. Insert the hose to the stop (approx. 10 mm) (Figure 2).
• Connect the milling machine to your compressed air supply. You will need a compressed air coupling
with a nominal diameter of 7.
Caution! The hose must always be connected to the milling machine first as, otherwise, the
compressed air would escape from the other end.
• Before connecting the F3I
