3 - Valves and Safety Systems
To ensure your safety, your Tramontina Pressure Cooker is equipped with
the following valves and safety systems:
A - Working valve:
reaches its working pressure.
B - Pressure indication system:
internal pressure situation and its occasional tendency
to increase (figs. 9, 10 and 11 - page 22).
C - Safety valve:
pressure in the event of the working valve being blocked.
D - Lateral safety valve:

4 - Basic information
When using the pressure cooker, always take the following basic safety
precautions:
Read all instructions.
• Do not touch the cooker's hot surfaces. Always use the antithermic Bakelite
handles and handholds;
• Keep children out of reach of the cooker and away from the stove;
• Do not use the pressure cooker in any kind of oven;
• Take great care handling pressure cookers containing hot liquids;
• Do not use the pressure cooker for other purposes than for which it was
