INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
When the value shown on the display starts flashing, the battery must be replaced. Open compartment (1) and replace the
battery.
DIAL INDICATOR SAFETY
• Do not charge the dial indicator from an external power supply source.
• Do not expose the dial indicator to sunlight or contact with water.
• Under no circumstances should oil be used to lubricate the measuring spindle.
• Wipe clean with a dry, soft cloth. Remove the most stubborn dirt with a cloth dampened with a neutral detergent.
• Do not use volatile organic solvents, such as thinners, as these may damage the dial indicator.
• When in use, the digital dial indicator must be placed on an indicator support or any other suitable assembly support.
• Unauthorised personnel should not disassemble and repair the digital dial indicator.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
ZERO/ON button
The digital indicator is on when it is connected to the battery.
Short press the ZERO/ON BUTTON to turn the indicator on.
In the normal absolute and relative measurement modes, or in the TOL measurement mode, long press the ZERO button to turn
the dial indicator off.
ZERO
In the normal measurement mode, to perform relative measurement, short press the ZERO/ON button; the values will be locked,
though not cleared.
In the absolute measurement mode (displaying of "ABS" sign), short press the ZERO/ON button; the preset value will be
displayed (see ABS BUTTON INSTRUCTIONS). When the preset value is 10,000 mm, zero the absolute measurement values.
When the preset value is 0.000 mm, clear the absolute measurement values.
