3.3 Magnetic Table
The magnetic table can be switched on or off with the key
The magnetic table LED lights up when the magnetic table is switched on.
3.4 Shutting Down
Move the main switch 26 (fig 2) on the right-hand side of the machine to "OFF". If you are no longer
operating the machine, place the supplied dust cover over it.
4 Operating Information
4.1 Handling the Drill Attachment
1. After the quill lock 12 (fig 1) on the left side of the spindle support 17 (fig 2) has been loosened,
this can be lowered up to 20 mm with the adjustment lever 10 (fig 1) on the right-hand side.
2. The graduated ring 24 (fig 2) with millimetre gradation on the adjustment lever makes precise
adjustment and reading possible for each required or achieved lowering depth (drilling depth).
Moreover, in the upper area of the spindle support 17 (fig 2) a drilling depth gauge 23 (fig 2) with

mm gradation is inserted, with which the particular required lowering depth (drilling depth)

can be preselected. A graduation mark on the graduated ring 24 (fig 2) of the adjustment lever
corresponds to a drilling depth of 1.0 mm. The graduation marks on the drilling depth gauge 23
(fig 2) indicate the specific drilling depth in 0.1 mm gradations.
4.2 Handling the Articulated Arm with Spindle Support
1. The articulated arm 7 (fig 1) of the F4 basic Milling Machine is released from its locked position while
the assigned articulated arm fixing pin 9a (fig 1) is pulled out and placed in its park position 9b (fig 1).
The horizontal support arm is jack-knifed (fig 4) so that the working area is freely accessible via the
magnetic worktop for the articulated arm.
2. The articulated arm has vertical suspension in its first bend. The strength of the return spring can
be adjusted weaker or stronger as necessary.
The threaded rod 20 (fig 2) with black head is used for adjustment. It can be fixed to the top side
of the articulated arm in any height you like with the aid of the knurled ring 19 (fig 2). The highest
spring strength occurs when the threaded rod is pulled out completely, while the weakest spring
strength occurs when the threaded rod is pushed all the way in.
3. Using the drilling depth gauge for the articulated arm: A graduated ring with
is attached to the articulated arm. It has a 25 mm lifting movement, which can be extended by
rotating the fine depth regulator by another 10 mm.
