2. Use the clamping hooks to attach the straps of the footrest to the recesses in the basket stretcher (Image 1). For SAN-0087-1-M
please use the carbines to attach the footrest on the rungs of the metal frame.

5.4. Operating the ultraBELT X-TREME strap system on the basket stretcher (optional accessories)
1. First use the strap releaser (Image 6-(3)) to loosen all straps and then open the strap using the turn lock (Image 6-(4)).
2. Place both shoulder straps with the pelvic/leg strap aside, position the crotch strap (Image 6-(6)) downwards facing the foot sup-
port of the basket stretcher.
3. Place the patient on the basket stretcher
4. Place the two shoulder straps (Image 6-(1)) laterally over the patient, join the halves of the lock and secure them until they engage
with an audible sound.
5. Guide the crotch strap from below through the legs of the injured party and also secure it in the belt lock.
6. Fasten the additional pelvic or leg strap.
7. Use the strap tensioner (Image 6-(5)) to tighten all straps. The patient is ready for transport.
5.5. Transporting the basket stretcher on inclined surfaces and slopes, vertical transport
1. Adjust the foot support to a suitable height to prevent the injured party from slipping. If the injured party's lower extremities are in-
jured, immobilize them with suitable additional equipment.
2. Immobilize the injured party using patient restraint straps.
3. Before lifting or lowering the basket stretcher, attach it to a static safety system.
Note! Please observe the instructions on how to attach the transport equipment. As optional accessories, we recommend the ultraBRI-
DLES transport equipment (SAN-0086) from ultraMEDIC. Use third-party transport equipment at your own risk.
6. CLEANING AND CARE
Please do not clean the product using high pressure/steam-jet. This could remove the lubricant and lead to corrosion.
Use mild soap and warm water to clean the basket stretcher and the straps.
For disinfection, you can use commercially available, alcohol-based agents. Other solutions or cleaning chemicals may damage the
material of the basket stretcher and the straps.
7. MAINTENANCE
In order to ensure the safety of the user and the injured party, we recommend that you have the basket stretcher and the straps visually
inspected by an expert on an annual basis.
