PART 5: Test the Alarm

1. The alarm sequence is as follows:
– GATE UNLATCHED: The latch will provide an initial warning sound (ascending beeps)
and light flash.
NOTE: If the battery power is low, the initial warning sound will have descending beeps.
– PASSAGE PERIOD: A 15-second rest period begins to allow time for the user to pass
through the gate.
– FULL ALARM: After 15 seconds, repeating beeps and light flashes begin until the
gate is relatched.
NOTE: After 1 minute, the full alarm frequency reduces slightly to save battery life,
but it will not stop until the gate is relatched.
2. Test the alarm by unlatching the gate and holding it open until the full alarm begins
after 15 seconds.
3. Once the full alarm has begun, allow the gate to close and relatch. If the alarm
sequence stops, the setup is complete.
NOTE: If the alarm sequence continues after the gate is relatched, refer to PART 3 and
adjust the latch height up one hole on the lower bracket.
