INSTALLATION

PART 1: Mount the Latch

1. Determine the mounting height for the latch based on local
code requirements. Slide the upper and lower brackets into the
latch body (Figure 2).
2. While holding the latch against the post at the proper height,
move the upper bracket as close to the top of the post as
possible. Install two (included) flat headmounting screws in the
two exposed holes of the upper bracket.
NOTE: The top of the latch must be no more than 11" from the
top of the upper bracket.
3. Locate the lower bracket by centering the mark on the latch
body between the two marks on the lower bracket (Figure 1),
and install two (included) flat head mounting screws in the two
exposed holes of the lower bracket (Figure 2).
