1 Safety
1.1 General safety instructions
– Read all safety warnings, instructions, il-
lustrations and specifications provided
with this power tool.
Failure to follow all instructions listed be-
low may result in electric shock, fire and/
or serious injury.
– Save all warnings and instructions for fu-
ture reference.

Before each use, check the plug, ca-

ble, and power tool for damage.

Risk of injury due to working with a
chainsaw

Make sure that there are no body parts
near the saw chain. Always keep the
machine away from your body.
Before starting the machine, make sure
u
that the saw chain is not touching any-
thing.
Only hold machine on insulated han-
u
dles during use.
Avoid contact with power lines or own
u
power cable.
Use eye protection and wear additional
u
protective gear for hearing, head,
hands, legs, and feet.
Make sure you are standing firmly on a
u
firm, secure, and even surface. Do not
use machine on a tree, a ladder, from a
roof or an instable stance.
Do not use machine over your head.
u
Operate the machine only with protec-
u
tive cover.

Risk of injury due to kickback
Hold the machine with both hands and
u
position your arms so that your arms
can absorb the kickback.
Always keep the saw blade to the side
u
of your body.
If the saw blade gets jammed or work
u
is interrupted, only remove the ma-
chine from the workpiece when the ma-
chine is switched off and the saw chain
is standing still.
Never remove the machine from the
u
workpiece or pull it backward while the
saw blade is moving.
u
Make sure that the saw teeth are not
caught in the workpiece and center the
blade in the saw gap in order to start
the machine in the workpiece after an
interruption.
Support large boards to reduce the risk
u
of kickback due to a jammed saw
blade.
Do not use dull or damaged saw
u
blades.
Work on existing walls or other areas
u
that are not visible with special care.
