Lighting Instructions
WARNING: When attempting to light this patio heater keep
all body parts above the control panel at least 12" away from
the outside diameter of the heater. See Figure 9.

WARNING: This heater has a direct ignition system powered
by a AAA Battery. Be sure a battery is installed before
attempting to ignite. The igniter should be sparking against
the burner face when the ignition button is pressed.

Turn the LP gas cylinder valve OFF. Push the ignition button
in to purge the gas lines, turn OFF, and wait 5 minutes for
any gas to clear.

2. Turn the tank valve ON. Turn the variable rate valve to high,
then fully push in the ignition button until the burner is
ignited. See Figure 10.

NOTE: If igniting the burner for 5 seconds continuously but the
burner fails to remain lit, or is extinguished, repeat step 2 after
5 minutes. Complete shutoff procedure before relighting.
IMPORTANT: Anytime the ignition button is fully pressed in,
gas should be flowing through the valve to the burner, while
the igniter is also sparking against the burner mesh. If no
spark is present, stop and refer to the troubleshooting section.
Ignition should occur within 5 seconds; if it doesn't, complete
the shutoff procedure and try again after 5 minutes.

Once the burner has lit, continue to hold the ignition
button in for 30 seconds, and then release.
2. Turn the variable rate knob from high to the desired heat
setting.
IMPORTANT: Appliance may shut down in windy conditions in
excess of 3 miles per hour (4.83 kilometers per hour).
Shutdown Instructions
1.
Press the red shut down button to turn off the burner.
2. Turn the LP cylinder valve OFF before removing the LP gas
tank.
WARNING: If at any time you are unable to light burner and
smell gas, wait 5 minutes to allow gas to dissipate before
attempting to light heater.
WARNING: DO NOT touch or move heater for at least 45
minutes after use. Allow burner mesh and reflectors to cool
before touching.
WARNING: Avoid inhaling fumes emitted from the heater's
first use. Smoke and odor from the burning of oils used
in manufacturing will appear. Both smoke and odor will
dissipate after approximately 30 minutes. The heater should
NOT produce thick black smoke.
