OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Installing LP Tank
NOTE: This heater is intended to be used only with a 20 lb. LP
gas cylinder.
WARNING: When opening the top portion of the heater with
no LP cylinder installed, the heater can become top-heavy.
Ensure the heater is on a stable surface or place a foot on
the base when installing a tank to ensure your heater does
not tip over. See Figure 7.
1.
With the top portion open, carefully lift your LP tank and
place it in the body of the heater.
NOTE: For optimal hose hookup, direct the outlet of the LP
cylinder towards the left opening on the body of the heater.

2. Using the supplied gas hose/regulator, connect the flare
fitting end to the brass elbow on the top of the burner
assembly. To prevent damage to internal components from
twisting, hold the brass elbow securely with a wrench or
pliers when attaching the hose assembly.
3. Using the acme nut end of the gas hose/regulator, screw
the connector clockwise onto the LP gas cylinder.
Checking For Leaks
1.
Make leakage solution by mixing 1-part liquid dish soap
and 3-parts water.
2. Spoon or brush several drops (or use squirt bottle) of the
solution onto the gas hose/regulator and regulator/cylinder
and hose connections.
3. Turn on gas cylinder valve. Inspect the connections and
look for bubbles.
a. If no bubbles appear, the connection is safe.
b. If bubbles appear, there is leakage. Loosen and re-
tighten this connection. If it still leaks, please call
customer service.
