Installation Position Guidelines
1. The air suction end of the defogger shall not be blocked by any means.
The clearance for the blower suction should be 1.5 to 3.0 times the suction
inlet diameter. We recommend at least 200mm clearance
2. The distance at which the suction inlet must be installed is dependent
on various scenarios such as:
a. Straight flow inlet
b. Convergent Flow Inlet
c. Divergent Flow Inlet.
Installation can follow any of the above-mentioned type based on the
design, but clearance from any obstructions is necessary in all scenarios.
Electrical Installation
Requires a 50 Amp fused circuit for High current line. The defogger
microcontroller and low power circuit is fused internally at 4A. Connect
the 2 Position connector, Red (+Ve) & Black (-ve) to the battery bus system
as shown below. Connector positions for Red & Black wires are assembled
as per Beneteau's Electrical Schematics
• Polarity Connection: Red Lead- Positive(+Ve), Black Lead- Negative(-Ve).
• Red (+) lead to be connected to fused (50A) Circuit for Over-current
protection.
• Recommended fuse rating: 50 A, 32V DC
• Recommended wire size: #8 AWG Minimum.
Connect the 4-position connector to the ignition line. Connector positions
for wires are assembled as per Beneteau's Electrical Schematics.
