NOTE:The bag mustbe removedbeforeinstalling t he

1. Graspblowerchutewith one hand and slidelocking
rod on mountingbracketwith other handtoward
engine.Use theend of mountingbracketas leverage
when slidingthe locking rod.See Figure3-7.
2. Slip blowerchuteover rimof dischargeopeningand
releaselockingrod to securechute in place,as in
Figure3-7.
3. Raisethe nozzleheightto the highestsettingwhen
usingthe blowerchute.Referto nozzleheight
adjustmentin the next section.
NOTE:The bag/chuteswitchbutton attachedto the
mountingbracketmustbe fully depressedby the tip of
front tab on the blowerchute or enginewill not start.
NOZZLE HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
The nozzlecan be adjustedto anyfive positions,ranging
from 5/8" to 4 1/8" groundclearance.The nozzleheight
has to be adjustedaccordingto yard conditions.
1. Depressnozzleheightadjustmentlevertowards
wheel. See Figure3-8.
2. Movetheheightadjustmentleverforwardor back-
wardto adjust the nozzleupwardsor downwards.
Makesurebothleversare in the same position.
3. Releaselevertowardsdeck.
NOTE: Ingeneral,raisethe nozzleheightto vacuuma
thick layerof leavesor to operatewith the blowerchute.
Lowerthe nozzleheightfor smoothersurfaces.
