Step 6 Connect the 15 Pin male DB-15 connector end ( the wider connector) of the adapter to the
Mac computer's female DB-15 connector or it required the female DB-15 connector of the Apple
HDI-45 to DB-15 video cable (Apple part number: M2681LL/A that is included with the Macintosh
6100/60 and is additionally required for Mac computers that require the use of the DRAM Video
Port). Tighten the two knurled screws on the adapter by using a 3/16 inch common screwdriver in
the slots provided or by using your fingers on the knurled screws.
Step 7 Connect the male 15 pin mini D-Sub monitor cable to the female 15 pin Mini D-Sub
connector on the adapter. Tighten the two screws on monitor connector with your fingers.
Step 8 if the other end of the monitor cable is not already connected to the back of the monitor, plug
it in and tighten the two screws on the video connector with your fingers.
Step 9 plug in your Macintosh computer and Panasonic PanaSync™, PanaSync/Pro™ or
PanaMedia™ monitor to AC power, Power-on or Restart the Macintosh computer FIRST, then turn
on the monitor by pressing the Power Switch and observing the Power Indicator LED light up green.
Step 10 If your Macintosh computer has Apple Resolution Switching Software installed and you
have selected the correct UNIMAC-82D Universal Mac(15 Pin) to VGA Adapter DIP switch settings,
you can switch on the fly between available resolution by opening the Control Panel, choosing
Monitors and clicking options. You must click on the "Rearrange On Glosa: box before you can use
the resolution switching software.
NOTE: If you reset the adapter to a new video mode, you must always power-on or Restart your
Macintosh to make the new video mode active.
Troubleshooting
Before you call Panasonic or an authorized service center, please check the following items:
a) Verify that the DIP switches are set to a video mode supported by your specific model Panasonic
PanaSync™, PanaSync/Pro™ or PanaMedia™ monitor by referring to the MONITOR MODE
SUPPORT CHART and the DIP-SWITCH FUNCTION TABLE.

b) if your monitor does not sync properly, select a different sync mode using the DIP-Switch Sync
Settings in the order shown below:
DIP-Switch Sync Settings:
1) Separate Sync mode: A5 & B8 On
2) Composite Sync mode: B7, B8 ON
3) Sync On Green mode: A5 OFF & B7, B8 OFF
Separate Sync is used by all currently shipped Macintosh computers. Older Macintosh computers or
older models or versions of PanaSync PanaSync/Pro or PanaMedia monitors may require the use of
Composite Sync or Sync On Green settings.
