3) Personal safety
a) Stay alert, pay attention to what you are doing and use common sense when operating the
medication. Any moment of carelessness during the use of power tools could result in serious
physical injury.
b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear protective goggles. The proper use of
protective equipment such as dust masks, slip-resistant safety shoes, safety helmets or hearing
protection in the circumstances that require it will greatly reduce the risk of physical injury.
c) Take care to avoid accidental activation of the tool. Make sure that the switch is in the off
position before connecting the tool to the mains and/or attaching the battery, or when picking up
connecting them to a power supply with the switch in the On position.
a rotating part of the power tool could cause injury.
support at all times. This allows you to better control the power tool in unexpected situations.
f) Wear appropriate clothing. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep hair and clothing
away from moving parts. Loose clothing, jewellery and long hair could get caught in the moving
parts.
g) If devices are provided for connection to dust extractors and waste collection devices, make
sure they are connected and used properly. The use of a dust collector can reduce the risks
associated with dust.
h) Do not let familiarity acquired through frequent use of the tools make you complacent, as this
may lead you to ignore the tool's safety measures. A careless action can cause serious injury in
a fraction of a second.
4) Use and care of the power tool
a) Do not force the tool. Use the proper power tool for the task at hand. The right tool will perform
better and more reliably at the speed for which it was designed.
b) Do not use the power tool if it cannot be turned on or off from the switch. Any tool that cannot
be controlled from the switch is dangerous and must be repaired before being used again.
c) Disconnect the plug from the power outlet or remove the battery — if removable — from the
tool before making adjustments to the tool, changing accessories or storing the tool after use.
These preventive measures will reduce the risk that the power tool may be accidentally activated.
d) Store switched-off power tools in a place out of the reach of children and do not allow persons
unfamiliar with these instructions or the tools to use them. Power tools are dangerous if used by
inexperienced persons.
e) Keep tools and accessories in good condition. Examine power tools for misaligned or jammed
moving parts, broken parts, or other circumstances that may affect their operation. In the event
of any damage, have the power tool repaired before using it again. Many accidents are due to
poor maintenance of power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools clean and sharp. Well-maintained, sharp cutting tools are less prone to
jamming and easier to control.
g) Use the power tool, as well as its accessories, bits, etc., in accordance with these instructions,
taking the working conditions and the task to be performed into account at all times. Use of the
power tool for purposes other than those for which it was designed could be dangerous.
h) Keep handles and gripping surfaces dry, clean and free of oil or grease. Slippery handles
and gripping surfaces do not allow safe control and handling of the tool in unexpected situations.
