CHARGING
THE BATTERY
Charge the mower for 14 hours before initialuse. Chargemower
indoors ina dry area outof the weather.DO NOTchargein rain or wet
locations.
IMPORTANT:Useonly the batterychargerprovidedwith this mower
(Part number725-04387).
Plugthe batterychargerintothe mowerfirst,and then intoany
standard110/120 volt householdelectricaloutlet.See Figure8 inset for
batterycharginglocationon mower.
IMPORTANT: A lwaysdisconnectbatterycharger(or extensioncord,
if used)from theelectricaloutletfirst, thendisconnectbatterycharger
from mower.

NOTE: If an extensioncord is required,useone that isat leastwire
size 16AWG.Connecttheextensioncordto chargerbeforeplugging
extensioncordintoelectricaloutlet.
The batterycontainscorrosivefluidand toxic material- HANDLE
WITHCARE.Keepawayfromchildren.Do not puncture,
disassemble,mutilate,or incinerate.Explosivegasescould be vented
duringchargingor discharging.Use in a wellventilatedarea,away
from sourcesofignition.
IMPORTANT:Alwaysrechargemowerfully.The chargerisa two
stagecharger.The first stage,equalize,suppliesa highervoltageto
the batteries.This helpsspeedchargetime and balancethe charge
acrosstheindividual batteries.The secondstage,float,suppliesa
lowervoltage.This preventsthe batteriesfrom experiencing
overcharging damageand also"topsoff" the batterycharge.
Dependingon batteryconditionthe equalizestagewill completein
approximately 8 hours.Whenthe equalizestageis completethe
charger'sgreen LEDwill stop blinking.This startsthe float stage.
Duringthe float stage thechargersgreen LEDwill be on continuously.
Thefloat stage will"top off" the batteriesin approximately 4-6 hours,
again,dependingon the conditionof the battery.However, a full 14
hour chargeis alwaysrecommended.
NOTE: It is recommended that the mowerbe chargedonceevery two
monthsduring storage.
