BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE FOR THE FIRST TIME
Before using the appliance for the first time:
• remove all packaging from the appliance;
• check that the mains voltage corresponds to that indicated on the label;
• wash the lid and trays of the appliance in warm soapy water. The base can be cleaned
with a damp cloth (do not wash the base under running water and do not put in the
dishwasher).
Drying is an ideal way to store food without the need to freeze.
The controlled flow of hot air circulating through the dehydrator will gently dry the food without
destroying vital nutrients. This will allow you to enjoy fruits and vegetables that are prepared
without using unhealthy substances
PREPARE FOOD
Unlike canned fruit, no extra sugar is added during the dehydration process (unless the user
adds sugar as an optional extra, but sometimes this can produce a bitter taste).
It is important to follow these basic guidelines to get better quality food.
• Always make sure that the food is fresh and of good quality.
• It is best to use ripe fruit as it contains the highest natural sugar content
• Do not use overripe or rotting fruit and vegetables. If the food is full of dents or discolored
parts, remove the discolored section before proceeding with drying.
• Fruits such as apples, pears and apricots are pretreated to slow down the loss of vitamins
and also to prevent discoloration. Always wash your food thoroughly to ensure that it does
not contain dirt, bacteria and other harmful substances.
• It is optional to peel fruit and vegetables before drying them. The peel can
become hard during the drying process. In any case it depends on the taste
personnel.
• It may be necessary to steam / blanch the vegetables before drying them, this is due to the
different fiber of the vegetables. Dry it well before drying it.
• Cut the products so that they rest freely between two trays. The result after dehydration will
be different depending on the size and thickness in which the food has been cut.
