LeakTesting Valves, Hoseand Regulator
1.Turn all grill control knobs to OrE
2.Besure regulatoris tightly connectedto LPcylinder.
3.Completelyopen LPcylindervalve byturninghand
wheel counterclockwise. I f you hear a rushingsound,
turn gas off immediately. T here is a majorleakat the
connection.Correct before proceeding.
4.Brushsoapysolution ontoareas circled below,or other
similarfittings on your grill.

5.If "growing" bubblesappear,thereis a leak.Close
LP cylindervalveimmediatelyand retighten
connections.If leaks cannot be stopped do not try
to repair. Call for replacementparts.
6.AlwayscloseLP cylindervalveafter performingleak
test by turninghandwheel clockwise.

in or on a boat.

Safety Tips
o Beforeopening LPcylindervalve, check the coupling
nutfor tightness.
o When grill is not in use, turn offall control knobsand LP
cylindervalve.
o Nevermove grillwhile inoperationor still hot.
o Some surfaceswill be hot duringuse. Uselong-
handledbarbecueutensilsand oven mitts to avoid
burnsand splatters.
o Maximumload for sideburnerand side shelf is 10 Ibs.
oThe greasetrayor cup must be installedduringuse
and emptiedafter each use. Do not removegreasetray
or cup untilgrill has completelycooled.
o Clean grill often, preferablyafter each cookout,If a
bristle brushis used to clean any of the grill cooking
surfaces,ensure no loosebristles remainon cooking
surfacespriorto grilling. It is not recommended to clean
cookingsurfaceswhile grill is hot.
. If you noticegreaseor other hot materialdrippingfrom
grill onto valve, hose or regulator,turn off gas supply
at once. Determinethe cause,correct it,then clean
and inspectvalve, hose andregulatorbefore
continuing.Performa leaktest.
o Keep ventilationopeningsincylinder enclosure(grill
cart) free and clear of debris.
o Do not storeobjectsor materialsinside thegrill cart
enclosurethat would blockthe flow of combustionair
to the undersideof either thecontrol panel or the
firebox bowl.
o The regulatormaymake a hummingor whistlingnoise
duringoperation.This will notaffect safetyor use of
grill.
o If you have a grill problemsee the "Troubleshooting"
Section.
o If the regulatorfrosts, turn off grill and LP cylinder
valveimmediately. T his indicatesa problemwith the
cylinderand itshould not be used on any product.

ForSafe Use of Your Grill and to Avoid
Serious injury:
• Do not let childrenoperateor play near grill.
• Keepgrill area clear and free from materialsthat burn.
• Do not blockholes insides or back of grill.
• Checkburner flamesregularly.
• Usegrill only inwell-ventilatedspace.NEVER use in
enclosedspacesuch ascarport,garage, porch,
coveredpatio, or under an overheadstructureof any
kind.
• Do not use charcoalor ceramicbriquetsin a gas grill.
• Do not covergrateswith aluminumfoil or any other
material. This will block burnerventilationand
createa potentiallydangerousconditionresulting
in propertydamage and/orpersonalinjury.
• Usegrill at least 3 ft. from any wall or surface,
Maintain10 ft. clearanceto objectsthat can catch
fire or sourcesof ignition suchas pilot lightson water
heaters,liveelectricalappliances,etc.
• NEVERattempt to light burner with lid
closed. A buildup of non-ignited gas
inside a closed grill is hazardous.
• Never operate grill with LP cylinder out of
correct position specified in assembly
instructions.
• Always close LP cylinder valve and remove
coupling nut before moving LP cylinder from
specified operation position.
• Apartment Dwellers:
Check with management t o learnthe requirements
and fire codesfor usingan LPgas grill in your
apartmentcomplex.If allowed,use outsideon the
groundfloor with a three (3) footclearancefrom
walls or rails.Do notuse on or underbalconies.
Ignitor Lighting
o Do not lean over grill while lighting.
1. TurnO OFF gas burner controlvalves.
2. Turn ONgas at LP cylinder.
3. Open lid duringlighting.
4. T,oignite,push and turn IGNITIONBURNERknob to
HIGH.
5. Immediately,pushand hold ELECTRONICIGNITION
buttonuntil the burner lights.
6. If ignition does NOToccur in 5 seconds,turn the burner
controlsOOFF, wait 5 minutesand repeatthe lighting
procedure. If ignitor does not work,follow match lighting
instructions.
7. To igniteremainingburners,turn knob to the _ HIGH
positionstartingwith the burnersclosestto IGNITION
BURNERfirst.
8. For grills equipped with ELECTRONICIGNITIONat
each burner:
Repeatsteps4 through6 to light each burner.
9. Onceeach burnerhas ignited,turn knobsto desired
setting.
Turn controls and gas sourceor tank OFF
when not in use.
If ignitiondoes NOToccur in 5 seconds, turn the
burner controlsO OFF,wait 5 minutes and repeat
the lighting procedure. If the burner doesnot ignite
with the valve open, gas will continue to flow out of
the burner and could accidently ignitewith risk of
injury.
Match.Lighting
o Do not lean over grill while lighting.
1. TurnO OFF gas burner controlvalves.
2. Turn ONgas at LP cylinder.
3. Open lid during lighting.
4. Placematch into match holder(hangingfrom side panel
of grill). Light match; then lightburner by placing match
throughthe match light holeon side of grill.
5. Push inand turn burnerknob to the _ HIGHposition.
Be sureburner lightsand stayslit.
6. Light adjacentburngrsin sequenceby pushingknobs in
andturningto the t_ HIGHposition.
