Make sure to match (+) and (-) terminals correctly.
Insert 3 fresh 1.5 volt AA batteries.

Increase setting on flow control knob until paint flows out of
applicator pad.
Confirm that paint tube and plunger are aligned with plunger
drive tip.
Ensure plunger drive has been unclipped from the main body.

Use a paint brush to smooth out the paint beads
