Fitting the skirt
: Push the skirt (3) into the slot in the
deflector until it can be engaged on
the lug (4).
: Fit the washer on the screw.
: Insert screw and tighten it down
firmly.

Replacing the Edger Blade

A bent or cracked blade must not be
straightened or welded – it may shatter.
Such blades must be replaced – see
"Fitting the Edger Blade".
STIHL recommends you use only
genuine STIHL edger blades:
Designation: 4133 / 01
Length: 8 in (200 mm)
Thickness: 0.095 in (2.4 mm)
Designation: 4133 / 02
Length: 8 in (200 mm)
Thickness: 0.150 in (3.8 mm)

: Replace the blade (1) when its
length (A) is no longer sufficient to
maintain the necessary ground
clearance (B) and obtain the
required depth of cut (C).
To avoid out-of-balance:
check blade on a STIHL balancer –
see "Special Accessories".
Do not resharpen the blade!
