HOW TO USE THE REMOTE
WARNING: After pressing the On/Off button, the sensor enters a permanent On/Off mode. To exit
this mode and return to the previously saved setting, the Auto button must be pressed to enable
the sensor.
1. Press DISP button to display the EiKO logo or the latest settings.
2. Select the remote program SEN5A-ACT or SEN5A-CT and press the OK button. If necessary, use EXIT or
button to return to the Type Selection menu for remote programs.
3. Use up and down buttons to select parameters.
4. Press OK button to adjust and use directional buttons to set the desired settings.
5. Press OK button to save changes.
6. Aim remote at sensor and press SEND button to transmit new settings. Luminaire connected to the sensor
will start flashing on and off, indicating that the new parameters have been successfully received and con
firmed.
Note: The sensor has a 40-second warm-up time after being connected to power for the first time. Do not send
new parameters during this time to avoid errors. Once the warm-up time is over, the light will enter dimming
mode, and the sensor will operate normally, allowing new parameters to be sent and adjusted.
Note: If the remote interface continuously loops back to the EiKO logo, it indicates that the remote's low battery
power level needs to be replaced.
Note: To prevent damage or leakage from the batteries, removing them from the remote is recommended if
it is not used for 30 days or more. This helps maintain the performance and longevity of the remote, ensuring
that it is in good condition and ready for use when needed.
Note: If communication with the sensor is unsuccessful, try moving closer to it, if possible. If communication
remains unsuccessful, the cause may be excessive IR interference from other sources. In this case, program-
ming the sensor during nighttime may be the only way to establish communication with it when no daylight is
available.
Note: Removing the batteries from the remote control will reset Mode1, Mode2, Mode3, and Mode4 to their
default settings, erasing any custom changes made to the parameters and returning the remote to its original
state. It is crucial to store or back up the parameters to preserve custom settings before removing the
batteries.
Note: The microwave sensors should be installed on stable and immovable fixtures only. Avoid using it with
chain/cable-mounted fixtures as even slight swings can trigger the sensor. You may reduce the sensitivity to
prevent false activation if required.
