Status request
Briefly press the corresponding status button
"S" on the HSM4-io hand transmitter to
request the opening status of the respective
gate/door (Fig. 4b ).
• Briefly press the desired status button
"S".
- Status LED "S" lights up green for
approx. 2 s Gate/door is closed
- Status LED "S" lights up red for
approx. 2 s Gate/door is not closed
- Both hand transmitter LEDs alternately
flash orange Hand transmitter is
outside the ESE1-io range.
CAUTION!
If the gate/door is not in view, gate/
door systems may only be operated
with additional safety devices
(e.g. photocell)!

• If the HSM4-io is still in ex-factory settings,
the system key must first be transferred
from a previously taught-in HSM4-io or
HSH-io to the new HSM4-io
(see Chapter 7).
• Next, carefully press the "PRG" button
on the HSM4-io hand transmitter with a
blunt object for max. 1 s (Fig.
- Both LEDs of the hand transmitter will
flash green, slowly.
• The HSM4-io hand transmitter searches
for previously activated io-homecontrol
products and saves them.
- This may take up to 2 min. Both LEDs
of the hand transmitter will flash green,
quickly.
• Press button "P" on the ESE1-io receiver/
transmitter unit once (Fig. 7
- The red LED will flash slowly.
• On the HSM4-io hand transmitter, press
the button for operator impulse mode
(usually the top button with the raised
dot).
- Both LEDs of the hand transmitter will
flash green, slowly.
• The operator has been successfully
assigned to the HSM4-io hand
transmitter if
- the red LED on the ESE1-io receiver/
transmitter unit remains on
- both LEDs on the hand transmitter light
6a ). up green for approx. 4 s.
Note
If the red LED on the ESE1-io receiver/
transmitter unit continues to flash
® and/or both of the LEDs of the
HSM4-io hand transmitter light up red
for approx. 4 s, this procedure has
failed. Briefly remove the ESE1-io plug
from the BUS socket, then plug it in
again and repeat all steps.
If assignments fail repeatedly, re-transfer
). the system key (see Chapter 7).
