7.0 MAINTENANCE AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS
• WARNING! Make sure that the shredder is switched off and disconnected from the mains. Wait
until all moving parts have come to a complete stop and the unit has cooled down before
carrying out cleaning and maintenance work.
• Check all the parts for signs of wear. Do not continue to use the product if you find any defects.
• Parts should only be replaced with original spare parts, and by an expert, in accordance with
the manufacturer's specifications.
• Have the unit inspected and serviced by qualified service technicians. Do not attempt to repair
the unit yourself unless you are suitably qualified.
• WARNING! Risk of injury from moving dangerous parts!
• Always wear sturdy protective gloves when cleaning the cutting blades.
• To ensure electrical safety, the appliance must not be treated with or immersed in liquids.
• Clean the shredder directly after every use. Do not allow shredded material to dry and harden
on the surfaces of the shredder. This has a direct negative effect on the shredding performance.
• Keep the ventilation slots clean and free of dust.
• Oil the blades after every 4th or 5th use, with suitable oil (e.g. gun oil).
• Brush off dirt and plant residues. Wipe the outside of the shredder clean with a damp cloth.
• Never use cleaning agents or solvents. You could cause irreparable damage to the unit. The
plastic parts can be attacked by chemicals.
• A lack of care and maintenance can damage the appliance. Dangerous situations can arise.
• Regular maintenance helps to ensure the safety of the product and increases its service life.

1.
2.
NOTE: If the existing blades are blunt, they can be turned once by 180° and reused.
If the blades have to be replaced, this must always be done in pairs. To do this, open the appliance
and block the blade disc with a screwdriver. Remove the screws with an Allen key. Reassemble the
new blades in reverse order.
