CONNECTING TO POWER

Before switching on the unit, please make sure that the VOLTAGE selector is set to the voltage of your
area. Connecting the unit to other power sources may damage the unit.
AC Power Operation
Connect the AC Power Cord to your AC household mains outlet and switch on the mains supply.

Make sure the voltage is compatible.
Disconnect the power cord form the mains when not in use.

ATTENTION
1. Do not plug or unplug the power cable while you have wet hands.
2. When planning not to use this unit for a long time, disconnect the power cable from the wall outlet.
3. When disconnecting the power cord from the wall outlet, do not pull on the cord in order to avoid
shock risks caused by damaged cable.

BATTERY OPERATION

Disconnect the AC cord set completely. Open the battery compartment door and insert 6 pieces UM-2
"C" size batteries into the battery compartment with battery polarity as shown inside the battery
compartment.
TURN ON THE UNIT
Press the
SOURCE button to turn on the unit

RADIO OPERATION

1. Press the
SOURCE button to select AM or FM mode.
2. Press and hold the SKIP/TUN< or SKIP/TUN> button for approximate 1 second, it will start to search
the next radio station in the direction of the search. The search operation simply finds stations with
strong signals. Stations with weak signal can only be tuned in manually.
3. Use the VOLUME+ or VOLUME button to adjust the volume to the desired listening level.
ANTENNA
For best reception, fully extend the FM Antenna to receive FM stations. For AM reception, the unit has a
built-in antenna, turn the whole unit for best reception.
For AM reception the signals are picked up through a built-in ferrite antenna. You may have to orient the
unit to obtain the best reception.
SAVING RADIO STATIONS IN THE MEMORY
1. Tune to the desired stations.
2. Press the MODE/MEM/PROG button, the display will show 'PXX' and flashing, where 'XX' is the next
memory station number.
3. Press the SKIP/TUN+ or SKIP/TUN button to select the station number.
4. Press the MODE/MEM/PROG button again to store the station in the memory.
5. Repeat step 1 to 3 to store more radio stations in the memory.
6. Up to maximum 10 AM and 20 FM radio stations can be stored in the memory.
