8.2 Motor assembly
WARNING!
Provide a soft surface underneath the motor to cushion a possible fall, and do not
remove it until the end of the process described below
1. Place the actuator below the grid, ensuring that each motor moves the correct section
(Fig.8, Fig.9, Fig.10)
Fig.8
2. Insert the bar tabs inside the motor housing until they both snap in. (Fig.11)
3. Close the mechanism compartment with the covers, sliding them to the side,
taking care not to detach the motor from the sections (Fig.12)
Fig.11
8.3 Cables connection
The double motor acts as both an actuator and a control unit, so it will be necessary to
connect the remote control and the cables of the headboard and footboard actuators
directly to it in the appropriate connections.
9. BEFORE EVERY USE
• Always check for wear and tear of moving mechanical parts, in order to ensure that the
wheelchair can be used in total safety for both people and property
• Check that the device is correctly assembled, taking particular care over the locking
screws of the headboard, the footboard and the mechanical joints in general
10. WARNINGS ON USE
• Ensure that all the wheels are locked with their brake before making any adjustment to
the bed
• Always disconnect the power cable from the mains electricity before performing any
cleaning or maintenance operations or simply moving the bed
• Do not use additional mobile multiple plug sockets or extension cables
• Do not connect any electrical devices not intended for normal functioning to the bed
