Attaching the Light Kit
Fitter & Glass Shade
CAUTION - To reduce the risk of electrical
shock, disconnect the electrical supply circuit
to the fan before installing light kit.
1. Remove the three mounting screws and
lockwashers from the black bracket below
the fan motor (Figure 15).
2. Connect the blue and white wires exiting
the black bracket of the fan motor with
the black and white wires from the light
kit fitter by connecting the polarized plugs
(blue to black; white to white).
3. Align the three screw holes on the black
bracket with the holes on the top of the light
kit fitter and secure with the screws and
lockwashers that were removed in step 1.
4. With power off, insert the halogen bulb
(Max. 50W, provided) into the socket.
OVER-LAMPING THE FAN WILL RESULT IN
THE FAN LIGHTS SHUTTING DOWN UNTIL THE
PROPER WATTAGE BULBS ARE INSTALLED.
RESET THE LIGHTS BY TURNING OFF, REPLACE
BULBS WITH THE CORRECT WATTAGE BULBS
AND TURN POWER ON.
5. Place the glass shade into the light kit fitter,
aligning the three flat areas on the top flange
of the glass shade with the three raised
dimples in the light kit fitter (Figure 15).
Then turn the glass shade clockwise until it
stops.
PERIODICALLY CHECK THE GLASS SHADE IS
SEATED FULLY CLOCKWISE IN THE LIGHT KIT
FITTER.
TO AVOID ACCIDENTAL BURNING OF THE SKIN,
ALLOW THE BULBS TO COOL COMPLETELY
BEFORE TOUCHING OR REPLACING THE
BULBS.
