You can cancel manual time synchronisation prematurely as
soon as the second hand reaches the 8 o'clock position. To
do this, briefly press the corrector or pull the crown and push
it back to position A. The minute and hour hands are reset to
the original time.
Note: For the best possible reception conditions during time
synchronisation with one of the time signal transmitters,
place the watch near a window. Avoid placing the watch next
to electrical appliances, mobile phones, cordless phones or
lamps that are powered by transformers. If the watch still
does not receive a time signal, change the position of the
watch.
Reception indicator
You can check the reception status of your watch at any
time. To do this, press the corrector for less than 3 seconds
in crown position A. The second hand shows the current
reception status for 4 seconds:
H11 = Junghans time signal
(via Junghans App)
H9 = US
H7 = JP (JJY40)
H6 = No reception
6. Power saving mode
Second hand at 12 o'clock,
minute and hour hands
in any position
Sleep mode is activated automatically if the watch receives
no light for 72 hours. The second hand points permanently
to the 12 o'clock position during Sleep mode. The hour hand
and minute hand remain in the same position as when Sleep
mode was activated.
To start the watch again, expose the solar dial briefly to a
light source or press the corrector.
Note: As the watch does not initiate any attempts to receive
a time signal during Sleep mode, the time will continue in
quartz mode – the hands will then position themselves at the
stored time. If you are located within the range of one of the
five signal transmitters, the time is synchronised at the next
automatic synchronisation. Alternatively, you can also carry
out synchronisation manually.
H1 = EU
H3 = UK
H5 = JP (JJY60)
7. Power reserve indicator
The power reserve is indicated by the second hand when
you press the corrector in crown position A for 6 seconds.
The second hand goes through several display steps before
the power reserve is indicated (first, the last time signal
transmitter that was received, then it moves to the 10 o'clock
position). The final position of the second hand then indi-
cates the charge level of the watch for 4 seconds:
Position of second hand
Minute 2.5
Minute 7.5
Minute 12.5
Minute 17.5
Minute 22.5
Minute 27.5
If the enegy drops below 5%, the second
hand only moves four steps every two
seconds. The watch then requires light
or power. Please charge the power stor-
age until the second hand again takes
two steps every second.
If all hands point permanently to the 12 o'clock position, the
stored enegy is not sufficient to guarantee functioning of
the watch (complete discharge). Charge the energy stor-
age. These charging times are dependent on the intensity of
the light source. The reference values specified in the table
are provided as a guide.

as a result of overcharging.
Information regarding the charging process after complete
discharge of the enegy storage:
The second hand makes two steps every ten seconds during
the charging process. As soon as the watch is ready for use,
time signal reception is initiated automatically.
To begin the reception phase, the hour hand and the min-
ute hand move to the 12 o'clock position. The second hand
initially points to the 10 o'clock position and then continues
to move towards the 8 o'clock position. As soon as a signal is
received, the correct time is automatically set on the watch.
If the watch does not receive a time signal after 30 minutes,
the reception process is terminated in order to save energy
and is then repeated automatically every 2 hours for a period
of 24 hours. This is indicated by the second hand skipping
across a full 5 seconds.
