FIAP Control Active
It is also possible to assign a channel multiple times (multiple radio power outlets respond to the same
remote control buttons). In order for this to work, the same DIP switch must be switched "ON" in each
of the power outlets.
For example:
Radio power outlet 1: DIP switch 2 on "ON"
Radio power outlet 2: DIP switch 2 on "ON"
Both radio power outlets can be controlled by button set 2 on the remote control.
Sample setting on the radio power outlet (only one switch can be in the "ON" position). Switches 5 – 10
are not required for this setting.
After finishing the settings, close the safety cover of the device.
Troubleshooting
Changing the channel coding
The radio frequency 433.92 MHz is a standard frequency used by many different devices. This means
that the signals of many different devices may overlap, causing disturbances in the devices. These
disturbances can cause make it difficult for the device to function properly. In order to avoid this
problem, you can operate the FIAP Control Active using a special type of coding which operates as a
key between the remote control and the radio power outlet. This key ensures that the radio power
outlet responds only to the signal source which uses the same coding key. The device is delivered
preconfigured with a standard coding, however this can be adjusted or corrected if necessary. If your
radio power outlet reacts to other signal sources or if it does not appear to be working, you must
change the coding.
To do this, proceed as follows:
Open the covers of the radio power outlet and the remote control as described above. Now check to
make sure that the DIP switch settings of the remote control (switches 1 – 6) and the DIP switch
settings of the radio power outlet (switches 10 – 5) match. In order to avoid any configuration
problems, please note the following table:

Note that the DIP switches on the remote control are in the reverse numerical order of the switches on
the radio power outlet.
Example: Switch 1 of the remote control corresponds to switch 10 on the radio power outlet.
The following is a possible sample configuration:
Remote control
Radio power outlet
Switches 1 – 4 are not required in this setting.
Remote control does not work
Check whether the battery has been inserted with the poles facing the proper directions. You can
check this by making sure that the label on the battery (usually placed on the side) corresponds to the
polarity marked inside the battery compartment. If the control LED on the remote control does not light
up when you press a button, even when the battery has been inserted correctly, then it is possible that
the remote control has a technical malfunction. If this is the case, please contact our customer service
or the retailer from whom you purchased this product.
Radio power outlet cannot be switched on or off although remote control is working properly
Proceed as detailed in section changing the channel coding and check whether the configuration
settings are correct. If this is not the case, please contact FIAP GmbH or the retailer from whom you
purchased this product.
