CONDITIONS FOR ATTACHMENT OF THE COUPLING DEVICE TO THE
VEHICLE
•
Any change or reconstruction of the coupling device is not permitted!
•
Presumption for the installation of the coupling device into the towing vehicle is that the
vehicle meets perfectly the geometric parameters declared by manufacturer and that the
fixing points on bottom of the rear part of bodywork are not deformed or injured by
accident or attacked by corrosion at elder vehicles.
Procedure of the attachment to the vehicle:
•
Remove the rear bumper, rear lamps and the inner lining of the trunk.
•
Remove the bumper reinforcement. It will not be used any more.
•
Dismount bolts from the rubber holder of the exhaust silencer and lower it.
•
Partially loosen the aluminum sheet above the exhaust - dismount 3 nuts.
•
Remove the cover stickers at the holes for fixing the towbar on the outer side of the
chassis.
•
Insert rods (3) into chassis, insert bolts with washers and tighten slightly.
•
Insert the towbar (1) between rods (3) and tighten slightly. Put the towbar to the
horizontal position and push it to rear wall of the vehicle.
•
It's possible to adjust the distance between the bumper and the towbar with the
adjustable knob in the bumper.
•
All bolts tighten firmly. Mk.: M10 = 45 Nm,M 12 = 75 Nm.
• Important:
•
Make an incision in the bumper. There is a contour of cutout for original towbar
Audi! marked in the bumper. For towbar HOOK CZ is necessary to make a cutout in
the axis of the vehicle: Width 60mm, depth 80mm from the lower edge of the
spoiler.
•
Install the wiring.
•
Put back the bumber, but don't fasten it yet. Mount the towball or the housing of the
detachable towball with bolts according to the picture.
•
Attach the socket holder (2) according to the picture.
•
Mount back the aluminum sheet and the exhaust silencer.
•
Mount back the bumper, rear lamps and the inner lining of the trunk.
