NOTICE:
Never change speeds while the tool is running. Failure
to obey this caution could result in serious damage to
the mixer.
NOTE: If you have difficulty changing from one speed range
to the other, turn the chuck by hand until the gears engage.
THREE SPEED SWITCH
See Figure 3, page 9.
The speed selection, material type, and mixing time will affect
the consistency and density of the material being mixed.
The speed switch has three settings:
1 - LOW
2 - MEDIUM
3 - HIGH
Press the speed switch left for 1-LOW.
Press the speed switch to center for 2-MEDIUM.
Press the speed switch right for 3-HIGH.
NOTE: The mixing speed can be set up to 800 RPMs.
NOTE: The speeds can be selected in each of the two-speed
gear trains.
TURNING THE MIXER ON/OFF
See Figure 4 - 5, page 9.
The lock-out button, located on side of the handle, reduces
the possibility of accidental starting.
To turn the mixer on: Depress lock-out button, and press
the switch trigger.
To turn the mixer off: Release the lock-out button and
then the switch trigger.
CAUTION:
The lock-out button should be in the locked position
when the mixer is not in use or is being transported.
This mixer is equipped with a lock-on feature, which is con-
venient for continuous use over extended periods of time.
To lock-on:
Depress the lock-out button.
Depress the switch trigger.
While holding the lock-out button, release the switch
trigger.
Release the lock-out button and the mixer will continue
running.
To turn off the lock-on feature, depress and release the
switch trigger.
OPERATION
If the lock-on feature is engaged during use and the mixer
becomes disconnected from the power supply, disengage
the lock-on feature immediately.
INSTALLING/REMOVING PADDLE (NOT PRO-
VIDED)
See Figures 6 - 7, page 10.
To install paddle:
Remove the battery pack.
Insert the chuck key into the chuck; twist counterclock-
wise to open the chuck jaws and clockwise to close.
Open or close the chuck jaws to a point where the open-
ing is slightly larger than the paddle size you intend to
use. Also, raise the front of the mixer slightly to keep the
paddle from falling out of the chuck jaws.
WARNING:
Make sure to insert the paddle straight into the chuck
jaws. Do not insert the paddle into the chuck jaws at
an angle then tighten, as shown in Figure 7. This could
cause the paddle to be thrown from the mixer, resulting in
possible serious personal injury or damage to the chuck.
Insert the paddle (not provided).
Tighten the chuck jaws securely on the paddle, using the
chuck key provided.
Remove the chuck key.
To remove paddle:
Remove the battery pack.
Loosen the chuck jaws using the chuck key provided.
Remove the paddle.
Remove the chuck key.
MIXING
See Figure 8, page 10.
WARNING:
Mix and prepare materials according to the material
manufacturer's instructions.
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of shock, injury or death, do not allow
liquid on the battery pack or mixer housing. Wipe the
battery and mixer dry with a clean cloth occasionally.
WARNING:
Keep mixer and battery dry at all times. To minimize
splash, slow the speed before the mixer is inserted or
removed from the substance being mixed.
