When a target is detected, the unit emits a signal, and a symbol appears
below the metal name on the display:
DISC and NOTCH discrimination range cannot be set in this mode.
b) DISC MODE (DISCRIMINATION)
In DISC mode the user can eliminate the detection of unwanted metals. Use
the "+" or "-" buttons to increase or decrease the range of metal categories to
be searched. All settings will be shown on the LCD display. Metal types will be
highlighted in order from right to left.

NOTCH MODE (SELECTIVE DISCRIMINATION, INDENTATION):
In NOTCH mode the user defines the range of objects to be detected. Unlike
normal discrimination (DISC), in NOTCH mode it is possible to set the range of
detected metals more precisely. All settings will be shown on the LCD display.
Metal types will be marked simultaneously on both sides of the scale towards
its center.
TESTING
1. Testing the unit before using it for the first time both indoors and outdoors is
recommended.
2. Note how the detector reacts to individual metals.
3. Prepare the accessories to perform the test:
nail,
a silver coin,
a gold ring,
zinc coin.
OPERATING THE UNIT INDOORS
1. Set the ON/OFF switch to the ON position to turn the unit on. After
approximately 2 seconds, the unit will go into standby mode.
2. Set the desired operating mode:
A. ALL METAL mode:
a) Press the ALL METAL button to select this mode.
b) This mode is designed to detect all types of metals.
B. DISC (discrimination) mode:
a) With DISC mode selected, press the DISC/NOTCH button (the word will
appear on the screen).
b) Use the "+" or "-" buttons to increase or decrease the range of metal
categories to be searched. All settings will be shown on the LCD display.
