Features
NOTE: Engine models may vary in features and/or location of
controls. The following is to serve as a general reference. Always
supplement this information with the operator's manual that
is included with the product for more information regarding
specific controls and their location.
A. THROTTLE (IF EQUIPPED)
The throttle control regulates the speed of the engine and will
shut off the engine when it is moved into the stop position.
If a throttle control is not present, then the engine is set to
always run at maximum performance speed once started.
B. CHOKE
Activating the choke closes the choke plate on the carburetor and
aids in starting the engine.
C. OIL DRAIN PLUG
Removing the oil drain plug will drain the oil from the engine.
D. OIL FILL CAP & DIPSTICK
Remove the oil fill cap & dipstick to check the oil level and add oil.
NOTE: The oil fill cap is located at the top of the engine or on the
bottom of the engine block.
E. FUEL CAP
The location of the fuel cap may vary based on engine model.
On some models, it appears as part of the units shroud, on
others, the fuel tank is located on top of the engine. Refer to your
product operator's manual for detailed information regarding
the location of the fuel tank. Remove the fuel cap to add fuel.

J. SAFETY KEY (IF EQUIPPED) (NOT SHOWN)
The safety key is a safety device. It must be fully inserted in
order for the engine to start. Remove the safety key when the
equipment is not in use.
NOTE: If equipped, refer to your product operator's manual for
specific key location information.
IMPORTANT: Do not turn the safety key in an attempt to start the
engine. Doing so may cause it to break.
K. PRIMER BULB (IF EQUIPPED) (NOT SHOWN)
Pressing the primer bulb forces fuel directly into
the engine's carburetor to aid in starting a "cold"
