6. Notes on the MP3 fi les
6.1. Identifi cation, numbering and copy of MP3 fi les
Using Windows Explorer, copy the audio fi les into the SD card, that will be shown as external disc unit. The
audio fi les MUST be copied inside the folder called audio (if that folder do not exist, it will be necesary to
create it).
The MP3 fi les used as messages on UMX-MP3 cards must be copied to the SD memories with a set name
format:
Message number.
Values between 0001 (message 1) and
9999 (message 9999).
This same format must be maintained if the fi les are copied to an SMP250 server PC (see section 6.2.).
6.2. SMP250 & UMX-MP3
If the MP3 messages are to be
activated from a computer in an
SMP250 system, the fi les from the
SD memory of the UMX-MP3 card
must be copied to a specifi c folder
on this PC. This folder is created
automatically when the confi guration

S M P 2 5 0 \ p a f i l e s \ m e s s a g e s \
xxxx\audio (xxxx being the name
given to the MP3 card during its
confi guration).
7. Downloading of confi gurations
In the case of an SMP250
installation,
the
Server

the confi gurations to the
equipment.
In an installation without a
server PC, the confi guration
must be downloaded to the
UMX-MP3 card by means of
a computer with the SCF-

front download connector
of the UMX-01/0.
