4.2. Activation by level
8 messages / sequences can be activated (from the contacts of the
same UMX-MP3 card). If it is wished to activate more messages, UMX-
ECT cards must be added. The UMX-MP3 and UMX-ECT cards must
be on the same UMX-01/0 chassis. To stop playing the message, the
contact must be returned to standby status.
4.3. Binary activation
127 messages (NOT SEQUENCES) can be activated by means of
binary combinations through external devices. Contact M8 is used to
validate the selection. The activation pulse must be at least 500ms. To
stop playing, the "0" combination must be sent.
4.4. Other connections
ACK contact. Acknowledge. Open-collector output contact. This is
activated whenever a message or sequence from the UMX-MP3 card is
played.
5. Confi guration
The parameters of the card can be confi gured by using the keyboard
of the UMX-01/0 (standalone mode) or by means of a PC connected
to the UMX-01/0, using the SMP-250V2 (SCF-01 or SCM-01)
software. To make confi guration easier, the option through the PC is
recommended:
From the installation screen, right-click with the mouse on the UMX-
01/0 which contains the UMX-MP3 card that you wish to confi gure
and select Add Equipment.
A window appears in which the following parameters must be
confi gured:
Slot: This is numbered automatically. If the value does not
1
correspond to the slot in which the card is inserted in the UMX-
01/0, modify this value manually (values between 1 and 10).
Enabled: Keep this box activated.
2
Name: Enter the name of the card (maximum 7 characters). This
3
name will appear in the Messages Panel as the folder containing
the MP3 messages of this card.
Input Number: Logical input. This is numbered automatically.
4
Its value may range from 1 to 9999. This number identifi es the
UMX-MP3 card as the audio sound source in the various menus.
Emergency Messages: Enter the number of the messages
5
considered as emergency messages (maximum of 16 messages).
The system supervises the integrity of each of these messages
so that it generates an alarm in the event that an error is
detected.
Activation mode: Select Pulse, Level or Binary according to the
6
activation mode that is required (See Section 4. Connection).
Priority between repetitions: If this box is activated, the priority
7
remains activated during the interval between repetitions of
messages.
