The laser distance measurer should only be serviced by the
brand's technical assistance center, or other qualified
personnel, replacing any necessary parts with original
ones.
When choosing and using batteries, you should pay
attention to the following aspects:
▪ Use alkaline batteries (2 x 1.5V LR03 (AAA));
▪ Use batteries from the same manufacturer, type and
capacity;
▪ Replace all the batteries at the same time. Do not mix
old/discharged batteries with new/charged batteries;
▪ When the laser distance measurer is not in use or is
being long-term stored, it is highly recommended to
remove the batteries. Batteries can corrode or discharge
in case of long-term storage;
▪ Discharged or end-of-life batteries should be disposed
of in accordance with local laws and regulations.
Follow the procedure below to insert/replace batteries:
1. Press the "ON/OFF" key (15) to switch the distance
measurer off;
2. Press the battery compartment cover latch (4) Press the
battery compartment cover latch (5);
3. Remove the discharged batteries and insert new or
rechargeable batteries. Ensure that the batteries are
inserted according to the polarity (+/-) shown on the side
of the battery compartment cover;
4. Close the cover and make sure the latch is securely
locked.
When the battery charge level indicator is too low,
the batteries should be replaced.
The laser distance measurer is suitable for measuring
lengths, heights and carrying out the calculation of areas
and volumes. The device is suitable for measuring indoors
and outdoors.
To ensure that you work safely with the distance measurer
and get accurate measurements you should pay attention
to a few precautions and procedures:
▪ Before each use, check that all bolts are properly
tightened. Regular inspection is important to ensure
safety issues and the performance of the laser distance
measurer;
▪ Avoid knocks and falls. Damage to the laser can impair
its accuracy;
▪ The reception lens and the laser beam outlet must not
be covered or obstructed during measurements;
▪ Keep the laser beam outlet and the reception lens clean
at all times;
▪ In case of strong light, for a better visibility of the laser
beam, use laser beam viewing glasses, a target plate for
the laser beam or shade over the target surface.
The duration and quality of the measurements depend on
the distance, lighting conditions and reflective properties of
the target surfaces.
There are surfaces that can cause measurement errors:
▪ Transparent surfaces (glass, water);
▪ Reflecting surfaces (polished metal, glass);
▪ Porous surfaces (insulating materials);
▪ Structural surfaces (rough plaster, natural stone);
▪ Sloping surfaces.
In these cases, you should use a target plate on the
surfaces.
