Note
The templates required for the correct alignment of the strips (Fig. 2) on the door sills are not
included in the kit and must be ordered separately from the ŠKODA Original Accessories range
under order Nos. 657 071 718 for SCALA (NW1) and KAMIQ (NW4), or 5E3 071 718 Octavia
(NX).
Please note: Use the openings in the templates to mark where the side door sill
covers are to be positioned on the vehicle sills. These are indicated by black
arrows on a white background. Make sure that you position the correct template
carefully on the vehicle sill and draw the line along the outer edge of the opening.
Important fitting information
In order to ensure that the side door sill covers are properly adhered to the vehicle,
the ambient temperature, the vehicle temperature and the temperature of the
components to be fitted must be between 20 and 30 °C. Protect the components
from direct sunlight.

Caution! The illustrations in the instructions only serve as general information
for assembly. The instructions show the mounting procedure for SCALA (NW1).
When installing the strips in KAMIQ (NW4) or OCTAVIA (NX), use a similar
procedure.
How to adhere the side door sill covers

- Wash the vehicle sills with mild soapy water, rinse them with clean water and then dry with a
clean cloth. Then degrease them using the cleaning cloth (C) from the set or with a suitable
cleaning agent. Leave to dry for approximately 10 minutes.
