Connecting Swinxs to a computer
Attention!
• Swinxs is only compatible with Windows XP or Windows Vista.
• Always check with your parents/guardians if you want to connect
Swinxs to a computer.
• Are you connecting your Swinxs to the computer for the first time?
Ask your parents/guardians to help you.
You can do more than just play games with Swinxs. Connect Swinxs to
a computer with access to the internet and discover the possibilities
on the Swinxs.com website. Use the USB cable supplied to connect
Swinxs to a computer.
You will not be able to use Swinxs for playing games or listening to
music while it is connected to a computer.
Note:
The first time that you connect Swinxs to a computer and switch it
on, a website will automatically open with instructions how you can
download and install SwinxsLink.
The SwinxsLink allows you to contact the Swinx.com website and
create and update your own homepage. First read the 'Privacy Policy'
and ask permission from your parents/guardians before adding any
details to your homepage. Never publish personal information such as
your name, address or telephone number on the internet. Be aware of
the dangers communicating with strangers on the internet. Ask your
parents/guardians to tell you more about this. Each time you connect
Swinxs to the computer, your homepage will appear.
Things you can do on the homepage include:
• make your own homepage;
• find out which games you can play with Swinxs;
• see the scores of the games you have played with Swinxs;
• reset Swinxs's language;
• download new games and delete old ones.
How do I connect Swinxs to the computer?
Remember to regularly make a back-up of all data on your computer.
1. Connect the bigger plug on the USB cable to Swinxs. The
connection is located on the side, under the rubber flap.

2. Plug the flat plug on the USB cable in the USB connection on the
computer.
3. Press the white button to turn Swinxs on. The light on top of
Swinxs will light up. When the computer is connected to the
internet, a website will open with instructions how to download
and install SwinxsLink.
4. Download the SwinxsLink and follow the instructions how to
install it onto the computer.
5. After installing, the SwinxsLink pictogram will appear in the start
menu. This pictogram indicates that communication between
Swinxs and the Swinxs.com website is possible.
6. Go to Start > All programs > Swinxs > Swinxs website
De Swinxs.com website will be opened.
Tip:
Use the mouse to right-click on the SwinxsLink pictogram and choose
'Website' in the quick menu.
7. When you are ready, double click on the SwinxLink pictogram in
the start menu.
8. Cancel the USB connection between the computer and Swinxs.
9. Switch Swinxs off by pressing the white button for two seconds.
Note:
When the webpage with the SwinxsLink download is not
automatically opened, then visit www.swinxs.com/download and
follow the instructions to download the SwinxsLink.
When the SwinxsLink is installed, the computer will automatically go
to your own homepage when Swinxs is connected.

Environment
The product should be disposed of in a responsible way at the end
of its life span, so that parts of the product can be re-used. Do not
discard of the product in the general refuse, but return it to the retail
outlet or to a recognized collection point. Contact your local council
for information about the available deposit and collection processes.
