Whenever the LCA-02 is out of the operation time, it attenuates 60dB.
During the period from 22 h or the running time end until 8h in the morning, the E1
increments every time the maximum level permitted is exceeded (nocturnal or, if not, the
running maximum). The end of this period can be reduced to the running time start if it is
before 8h in the morning.
It also permits to program "non-working days". In these days, the maximum sound pressure
level can be exceeded without penalisation and incidence annotations.
The led display (6) shows the continuous equivalent sound pressure level with A weighting
(L
), in decibels (dBA). There is a led bar below (7) that indicates the attenuation with 2 dB
Aeq
increments.
The LCD (1) is used to program the LCA-02 and to show the ocurred incidences. It normally
indicates date, time and if it is a non-working day or it is in nocturnal timetable.
If the LCA-02 is disconnected from supply, it continues working thanks to an internal battery,
but with a fixed attenuation of 60 dB. The autonomy of the battery is two days. When it runs
out, the LCA-02 turns off automatically and maintains all the information until the next
connection. The LCA-02 memorises when the running out of battery happens and keeps the
last 7 times it has occurred.
With a parallel printer you can print incidences summaries and graphics with the evolution of
the sound pressure level.
It is possible to connect an external display with a led display (6) and a led bar (7) to permit
to the person that controls the volume to see it.
The LCA-02 and the sensor are sealed to avoid manipulations of the connection and
modifications in the programming.
This equipment only can work with the accessories mentioned in the accessories section. In
case that using a different accessories and that this causes a failure in the equipment,
would not be responsible of this failure. Then the equipment will lose its
warranty.
