USING YOUR NEBULIZER

Fill and assemble the nebulizer.
Step 1: Pour the medication into
the nebulizer cup following the
physician prescribed dosage, Fig 1.
Step 2: Replace the top of the
nebulizer and twist to close; gently
pull the top to ensure the top is
secure, Fig 2.

Attach the selected mouthpiece to
the top of the nebulizer, taking care
not to spill the medication in the
cup, Fig 3.
6.
Attach the nebulizer to the air
tubing, Fig 4.
7.
Position the mouthpiece at the
patient's mouth.
Remember that masks should
cover the patients mouth and nose,
mouthpieces should be in the
mouth with the lips closed around
the end of the mouthpiece.
Treatment time varies depending on the type of medication and
volume of medication being used. It is important to complete the entire
prescribed dose of medication for maximum effectiveness. Consult with
your prescribing physician or healthcare professional for information on
your specific medication therapy treatment plan.
