has been properly adjusted to his/ her height, and have both feet on the pedals.
Through pedaling the bike will move forward and the speed you achieve will refl ect the
strength used by doing so.
How to apply the brakes: If you wish to decelerate, pedal backwards (use the reverse pedal
brake called Torpedo). The intensity of braking corresponds to the amount of pressure you
apply to the pedal. You can also use the 'V' brake by pushing the brake lever on the handle-
bars. The intensity of braking corresponds to the amount of pressure you apply to the lever.
We recommend favoring the reverse pedal brake. Use the front brake as an emergency brake.
Otherwise during more intense braking you can injure yourself. The rider of a bike should
always anticipate potentially dangerous situations and use the brakes in time.
If you want to change direction turn your handle-bars according to the desired direction and
lean gently in the same direction (according to your speed and turning radius).
MAINTANANCE
We highly recommend visiting a professional service center. Regularly check the tire pressure,
brake wear, outer case wear, rim wear, steering functions, etc. If necessary tighten the screw
connections, tightening mechanism, and lubricate sliding parts with bike lubricant (bearings,
wires, brake components, etc.). If the bike becomes dirty, clean it with a wet cloth. Before eve-
ry ride check all screws and proper function of the brake. To keep the rider safe it is necessary
to change all worn out parts for new original parts. If some parts become dirty wipe them
with a wet cloth, do no use ammonia, gas products, or other chemicals. For wheel bearings
use sewing machine or bicycle oil. Use the same oil for the chain as well. The span of the chain
should be ten millimeters. After you use the bike for a while we highly recommend to tighten
the spokes by two turns (ask the professionals.)
WARNING:
While lubricating, the lubricant can not be applied to the contact area of
the rim and the brake pad. However if it is to happen it is necessary to use technical to gas
to remove the lubricant. If you hear cracking in the spokes during the ride it is necessary
to tighten the spokes of the wheels by two revolutions (we highly recommend asking a
professional for assistance), lubricate, set or change the bearings and their parts. If the wheels
need to be changed always use wheels of the same dimension as the original. To disassemble
the wheel follow the instructions in reverse (see guide). If the wheels need to be changed or
the inner-tube repaired, ask a professional.
SAFETY FEATURES
The assembly must be performed by an adult. Ride safe, by doing so you will prevent accidents
and injuries. Do not ride at night! Do not ride during rain (wet surface can be potentially dan-
gerous and the braking distance is also longer). Ride only in locations safe for bikers. We highly
recommend child riders to be accompanied by an adult! Before using your bike after a longer
time without riding, check screw tightness and the proper functioning of all parts of your bike.
WARNING:
Mechanisms decreasing the speed (brake pads, rims, wheels, reverse pedal
brake) get warm during a ride; therefore it is not in safe to touch them soon after use.
WARRANTEE
To maintain the warrantee and ensure your safety it is vital to use high quality original parts
for a given model only (tire casings, inner tubes, brake systems, bearings etc.). Make sure
to use the service of professionals in case you need assembly, setting, or supply of further
equipment. The warrantee does not cover damage or loss of any part caused by a fall, impact
on a hard object (rock etc.), scratch, improper assembly, inadequate adjustments, rough
manipulation, and negligence.
The producer reserves the right to change the guide book or product in any way without prior
warning. This product meets the following requirements ČSN EN 147 65 + A1.
