5.4 PRELOADING EXPANSION VESSEL
To pre-load the pressurized tank, proceed as follows:
5.5 DISINFECTING THE APPLIANCE
Recommendations
1. Before replacing the pre-filter, disinfect the appliance at intervals of no more than six
months.
2. Disinfect the osmosis unit after a period of non-use of more than 6 months and/or before
the first operation.
3. All disinfection operations must be performed by qualified technical personnel.
4. Use the personal protective equipment specified in the technical data sheet of the
chemical products to be used.
5. To perform this procedure, the following will be necessary:
a. A dosing cup graduated in ml.
b. Hydrogen peroxide.
c. 1 litre of osmotized or distilled water.
d. 1 disinfection cartridge (sold separately).
Procedure
1. Turn the osmosis unit and dishwasher off. Turn off the osmosis unit supply stopcock.
2. Open the discharge valve to relieve the pressure inside the pre-filter. Keep the valve open until the
water stops running. We recommend using a container to collect the water at the outlet
(approximately 1 litre). When the process is complete, close the discharge valve.
3. Turn the used cartridge ¼" anticlockwise and pull it down to remove it.
4. Mix hydrogen peroxide and de-mineralized water in the disinfection cartridge to achieve a percentage
concentration by weight of 0.2%. The following shows the proportions necessary for 1 litre of
dissolution (approximate capacity of the cartridge):
-
65 ml of hydrogen peroxide at 10 volumes per 1 litre of water.
-
25 ml of hydrogen peroxide at 24 volumes per 1 litre of water.
-
18 ml of hydrogen peroxide at 36 volumes per 1 litre of water.
5. Insert the pre-filter cartridge vertically, making sure to insert the tabs into the sockets. Then turn
the cartridge 90º clockwise until it is secure. Do not force it or turn it too far; simply stop when the
cartridge no longer moves.
Disconnect the power plug.
Empty the expansion vessel by performing a wash cycle in the dishwasher.
Use a bicycle pump to set the pre-load pressure of the tank to 1.0 bar.
Reconnect the power plug and turn on the appliance.
