Clothing worn during the appliance operation must be
adequate, tight and closed, for example, a work boiler suit.
Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep hair, clothing
and gloves away from rotating parts.
The following precautions and procedures should also be
followed to avoid accidents:
▪ While operating the appliance, adopt a stable position
and always keep your balance. Hold the power tool firmly
to
ensure
continuous
unexpected situations;
▪ In case the blades become jammed, immediately release
the "ON/OFF" trigger switch and do not move the planer
over the workpiece until the rotating attachment stops
completely;
▪ To avoid displacements or projections use clamping
devices to ensure a safe performance. Place/keep the
workpiece in a correct and stable position;
▪ Never put the planer down before the blade has come to
a complete stop. The rotating attachment may come into
contact with the support area, causing you to lose
control of the appliance;
▪ The blades may become too hot during operation. Avoid
touching them, they can cause burns;
▪ Make sure that the ventilation slots are not clogged. Do
not insert any objects over the ventilation slots;
▪ Avoid using the power tool on wood coated with paint
containing lead or other materials that are harmful to
health. There are certain types of powder (oak and
beech) which are classified as carcinogenic substances
when they have additives for wood preservation. Any
contact or inhalation of dust may cause allergic
reactions and/or breathing disorders.

Before performing cleaning, adjusting, repairing and
maintenance work, always unplug the power cord.
Replace worn out or damaged parts immediately, so that
the power tool is always in a safe operating condition.
Cleaning:
Always keep the power tool clean and dry, free from oil,
lubricants or grease. Clean all electric planer's components
and accessories after operation.
Do not use aggressive cleaning products. These products
may damage plastics and metals, compromising the safe
operation of the power tool.
Maintenance:
Only maintenance works described in this instruction
manual may be carried out all other works must be
performed by an official dealer.
Use only VITO-approved blades and attachable accessories
for this appliance or technically identical parts. Failure to
do so may result in personal injuries or damages to the
electric planer. If in doubt, if you lack knowledge or
resources, you should contact an official distributor.
Your electric planer should only be serviced by the
manufacturer's internal service personnel, or other
qualified personnel, replacing any necessary parts with
original parts.
