Continue planing until the desired result is
achieved.
The parallel guide ensures planing in a
straight line, if this is required.
Once you have fi nished planing, switch
of the planer and wait until the blade
has come to a complete stop. Turn the
adjustment knob to set the planning depth
to 0 mm. You can chamfer edges by using
the chamfering groove in the front of the
baseplate.

Replacing the blade
Undo the two Allen bolts (d) and remove
the blade unit from the roller (a).
Using an adjustable spanner, carefully undo
the three clamping screws (b) so that the
two blade units (c and f ) in the blade unit
release the blade (e).
Carefully remove the blade. Be careful not
to cut yourself on it.
Fit a new blade of exactly the same weight
and size, tighten the clamping screws, and
fi t the blade unit back into the roller using
the Allen bolts.

Cleaning and maintenance
Clean the planer by wiping it with a damp
cloth.
Remove any chips or sawdust from the
blade.
Check at regular intervals that all screws on
the planer are tight.
Replacing carbon brushes
Check the carbon brushes regularly.
Remove the plastic cover (8) that protects
the carbon brushes. Remove the carbon
brushes. If they are 5 mm or less then they
must both be replaced. Fit new carbon
brushes and replace the brush cover.
