- The discharged or worn out batteries
must be eliminated according to local
rules and laws;
Use the following procedure to place/
replace batteries:
1. Place the "ON/OFF" (3) switch into
position "OFF";
2. Press the fixing tab (7) and open the
batteries compartment (6);
3. Remove the discharged batteries
and insert new or rechargeable ones.
Make sure the batteries are inserted
according to the polarity (+/-) shown in
the side areas;
4. Close the cover and make sure the
tab is well fixed;
3.2 ASSEMBLING THE LASER
ON THE SUPPORTS (FIG. C)
There are 3 different VITO supports
possible to be used with the laser: tripod
(8), support with spring (9) and wall
support with magnet (10).
Tripod:
The tripod is a stable measuring support
with adjustable height and orientation.
1. Tighten the supports fixing thread (5)
in the tripod fixing screw (8);
2. Adjust the tripod before turning the
laser on;
Support with spring:
With the support with spring it is
possible to set the laser in many
horizontal surfaces.
3. Open the spring and fix it over a
horizontal surface;
4. Adjust the position before turning the
laser on;
20
Wall support with magnet:
The wall support with magnet allows
setting the laser on metallic surfaces. It
can also be joined to the tripod trough
the fixing thread.
5. Lean the support against a metallic
surface that does not allow any movement
during utilization;
6. Adjust the support before turning the
laser on;
4. OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This
device
was
designed
determinate and control horizontal and
vertical lines in closed spaces. It is ideal
to mark and align walls, ceilings and
pavements.
To ensure a safe operation, it is
necessary to consider the following
aspects:
• Before using, check if every fixing
screw is properly tightened. It is
important to check regularly the laser
to ensure every safety issues and
performance;
• Prevent the laser from bumping
or falling. Laser damage can impair
accuracy. If the laser is hit or falls,
the laser line should be controlled by
comparing it to a known reference line,
vertical or horizontal;
• If the "ON/OFF" switch is damaged,
it should be repaired or replaced;
• Turn the laser off before moving it.
The leveling unit is blocked as soon
as the "ON/OFF" switch is set to
position "OFF". Otherwise, it might
suffer damages caused by sudden
movements;
4.1. TURN THE LASER
ON/OFF
1. To turn the laser on, place the "ON/
OFF" switch (3) in position "ON".
2. To turn the laser off, place the "ON/
OFF" switch in position "OFF";;
Never leave the laser without
surveillance. Turn it off after
using it.
4.2 SELF-LEVELING (FIG. D)
The
self-leveling
compensates for unevenness of ±3° in
the structure or in the fixing support.
to
The laser adjusts automatically the
leveling every time there are trembles
or changes of position during utilization.
After every leveling adjustment, and to
avoid errors, it is necessary to control
the laser lines positions according to
the reference points.
If the self-leveling cannot be performed,
because the laser supporting base has
an inclination higher than 3° with the
horizontal, the self-leveling indicating
light turns red.
1. Place the laser on a horizontal and firm
surface or fixe it in a support (8, 9 and 10);
2. Place the "ON/OFF" switch (3) in
position "ON";
3. Wait until the self-leveling indicating
light (2) turns green and the projected
laser lines become stable. In that
moment, the laser is ready to be
operated;
