2.2. SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE

If you have any doubts as to whether the unit is
working properly or if it is damaged, contact the
manufacturer's service department.

Only the manufacturer's service department may
repair the unit. Do not carry out repairs yourself!

In case of open flames or fire, use only dry powder
or snow (CO2) fire extinguishers to extinguish the live
equipment.
d)
No children or unauthorized persons are allowed
in the work area. (Inattention may result in loss of
control of the unit.)
e)
Use the appliance in a well-ventilated area.
f)
Check the condition of the safety stickers regularly.
Replace them if they are illegible.
g)
Keep these instructions for use for future reference.
If the unit is to be passed on to a third party, the
operating instructions must also be handed over
together with the unit.
h)
Keep the packaging and small assembly parts out of
the reach of children.
i)
Keep the unit away from children and animals.
j)
When using this unit together with other units, also
follow the other instructions for use.

2.3. PERSONAL SAFETY
a)
Do not use the device when tired, ill or under the
influence of alcohol, narcotics or medication which
can significantly impair the ability to operate the
device.

The device is not designed to be handled by persons
(including children) with limited mental and sensory
functions or persons lacking relevant experience and/
or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person
responsible for their safety or they have received
instruction on how to operate the device.
c)
The device can be handled only by physically fit
persons who are capable of handling it, properly
trained, familiar with this manual and trained within
the scope of occupational health and safety.
d)
Use personal protective equipment as required
for working with the device, specified in section 1
(Legend). The use of correct and approved personal
protective equipment reduces the risk of injury.
e)
To prevent the device from accidentally switching on,
make sure the switch is on the OFF position before
connecting to a power source.
f)
The device is not a toy. Children must be supervised
to ensure that they do not play with the device.
2.4. SAFE DEVICE USE
a)
Do not overload the device. Use the appropriate tools
for the given task. A correctly-selected device will
perform the task for which it was designed better and
in a safer manner.

Do not use the device if the ON/OFF switch does not
function properly (does not switch the device on and
off). Devices which cannot be switched on and off
using the ON/OFF switch are hazardous, should not
be operated and must be repaired.

Disconnect the device from the power supply
before commencement of adjustment, cleaning and
maintenance. Such a preventive measure reduces the
risk of accidental activation.
d)
When not in use, store in a safe place, away from
children and people not familiar with the device who
have not read the user manual. The device may pose
a hazard in the hands of inexperienced users.

Keep the device in perfect technical condition. Before
each use check for general damage and especially
check for cracked parts or elements and for any other
conditions which may impact the safe operation of
the device. If damage is discovered, hand over the

emitted by the device without suitable protective

e.g. condensing water.

The device is not intended to illuminate living
quarters. Use only as a light source that additionally
stimulates plant growth.

Do not use sprinklers or other water systems when
operating the device.
ATTENTION! Despite the safe design of the device
and its protective features, and despite the use of
additional elements protecting the operator, there is
still a slight risk of accident or injury when using the
device. Stay alert and use common sense when using
the device.
3. RULES OF USE
The product is designed to illuminate the plants and thus
stimulates their growth.
The user is responsible for any damage resulting from
misuse.

3.1. PREPARATION FOR OPERATION
POSITIONING OF THE UNIT
The ambient temperature must not exceed 40°C and
ambient humidity should not exceed 95%. Place the
unit in a way that ensures good air circulation. Maintain
a minimum clearance of 10 cm from any wall of the unit.
Keep the unit away from any hot surfaces. Always keep the
device out of reach of children and persons with reduced
mental, sensory or intellectual functions. Place the unit in
such a way that the mains plug can be reached at any time.
Ensure that the power supply to the unit corresponds to
that specified on the identification plate!
ASSEMBLY OF THE UNIT
1.
Securely fasten the lamp to the outer component, e.g.
using clamps, etc. mounting elements.
2.
Connect the power cord to the power source, e.g.
with a cord with a suitable plug. The device must be
grounded!
3.
Remove the protective foil from the device casing.
4.
The device is ready for use.

3.2. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
a)
Pull the mains plug and let the unit cool down
completely before cleaning, adjusting or replacing
accessories and when the unit is not in use.
b)
Use only non-corrosive cleaning agents for cleaning
the surfaces.
c)
Store the unit in a dry and cool place protected from
moisture and direct sunlight.
d)
Do not spray the unit with a stream of water or
immerse it in water.
e)
Perform regular inspections of the unit checking
technical fitness and any damages.
f)
Use a soft cloth for cleaning.
g)
Do not use sharp and/or metal objects (e.g. a wire
brush or metal spatula) for cleaning, as these may
damage the surface of the material from which the
unit is made.
h)
Do not clean the unit with acidic substances, medical
products, diluent, fuel, oil or other chemicals as this
may cause damage to the unit.
DISPOSAL OF USED UNITS.
At the end of its useful life, this product should not be
disposed of with normal household waste but should be
taken to a collection point for the recycling of electrical
and electronic equipment. This is indicated by the symbol
on the product, operating instructions or packaging. The
materials used in this unit are recyclable according to their
marking. You will be making an important contribution
to protecting our environment by reusing, recycling or
otherwise disposing of used units.
Your local administration will provide you with information
about the appropriate disposal point for used units.
