CONTROL PANEL
• Turning the device off/on:
To turn on the device, press the POWER button on the control
panel. Pressing this button again will turn off the unit.
• Menu
When the device is turned on, pressing the MENU button allows
you to select the operation options, set the sensitivity of the probe
and the sound volume. Each press of this button selects a different
option (the currently selected one is marked with an arrow next
to its name):
"DISC" (proportional exclusion) - This function allows the user to
exclude certain items or waste from the scope of the search. Each
time you press the value increase button (+) for this option, you
can exclude one type of item from detection (the checkmark next
to its icon on the display will disappear). To undo the exclusion,
press the value decrease button (-), and the excluded item will be
restored, i.e. the checkmark next to its icon from right to left on
the display will be highlighted.
IMPORTANT: The last 2 categories on the right on the display,
symbolizing silver and other valuable items, cannot be excluded
from the scope of the search.
"NOTCH" (selective exclusion) - This function works very much like
"DISC," except that "NOTCH" allows to selectively exclude types of
items. Press the value increase/decrease button to change the
category to be selected. The selection next to the selected icon
will flash for 3 seconds and then change its status. Alternatively,
