Specific safety instructions
- Hold the tool by the insulated handles when carrying
out work during which the plug-in tool could strike
concealed power cables or its own mains lead. Contact
with a live cable will also make the metal parts of the
tool live and will cause an electric shock.
- The drill is not designed for use with attachments.
- Do not use near vapors or inflammable liquids.
- Make sure you have a steady foothold when working
on ladders and platforms.

3.1 Placement
Carefully remove the tool and all loose items from the shi-
pping container.
Keep all packaging materials until after examining the ma-
chine and used successfully.
Before installing, repairing or performing
maintenance work on the machine, always
turn off the operation switch and remove the
plug from the socket!
3.2 Mounting
Before you connect the equipment to the mains supply
make sure that the data on the rating plate are identical to
the mains data.
Always pull the power plug before making adjustments to
the equipment.
Fitting the drill bit (Fig. 2-3)
- Always pull the power plug before making adjustments

- The quick-change drill chuck (1) is equipped with a
locking fastener:
To lock = press the sleeve (a) forwards
To unlock = press the sleeve (a) backwards
- Open the chuck (1). The drill bit opening must be large
enough to fit the drill bit into.
- Select a suitable drill bit. Push the drill bit as far as
possible into the chuck opening.
- Close the chuck (1). Check that the drill bit is secure in
the chuck (1).
- Check at regular intervals that the drill bit or tool is
secure (pull the mains plug).
