2.4 Function
The heating cable has an automatic thermostat, which switches on the
heating cable as soon as a temperature of ca. +3°C is detected, and
switches it off again when a temperature of ca. +12°C is detected.
The heating cable shall not be connected in the summer (unplug).
3. SELECTION OF THE FROST PROTECTION HEATING CABLE
3.1 Selection for gutters and downpipes
Measure the length of the gutters + downpipes. If using double-laying, the required length
of the heating cable is given by doubling the length.
Select the standard length that is closest to the twice the gutter length. The cable shall not
be more than 600 mm shorter than the gutter and shall not be longer than the gutter.
