1.
To access the inside of the fixture, loosen the 4 flat
head Phillips screws and separate the fixture housing
from the drop door. Note the screws are captive to the
door. They do not need to be completely removed from
the door. (Figure 9.)

Mount the provided wall stud plate to the wall or over
a junction box (junction box can be surface mounted
or recessed). Use the holes in the corners of the stud
plate to secure it to the wall (mounting hardware
provided by others). Also use the junction box screw
holes to further support the stud plate. Use care not
to bend the stud plate when securing it to the wall.
(Figure 10).

Slide the drop door over the studs onto the wall stud
plate and secure it with the provided washers and nuts
(x4). Torque nuts to 70 in-lbs (7 .9 N-M).

Make wire connections per the wire diagram (Figure 4
or Figure 11 for emergency battery pack option). If the
side entry conduit holes are being used for the fixture
power, then pull the wires out of the wire gasket in the
back of drop door (shaped like a tombstone). Replace
gasket and seal wire holes with RTV silicone. Make
wire connections inside drop door housing.

ote:
*Constructions built before Jan 2022 may have gray
wire for 0-10 dimming control present. In these
cases, the installer will label the gray building wire
as a 0-10 dimming wire and connect to our product's
pink 0-10V dimming control wire. Reference NFPA70
(2020 NEC), section 410.69.

Place the fixture housing on the drop door as shown
in Figure 12. Immediately make the wire harness
connections to fixture housing. Do not leave the fixture
housing unattended during this step.Lift the fixture
housing and align it on the drop door. Secure the fixture
housing to the drop door with the four Phillips flat head
screws. Torque screws to 20 in-lbs. (Figure 13).
