Changing the Lamp
First of all, disconnect the unit from the mains
when changing the lamp, let the projector cool
down before touching the lamp and the
surrounding parts.
Projection Lamp — Halogen Lamp 300 W
(Socket GX 6,35)
Use a halogen lamp 300 W/220—230 V.

Move the lock " a " in direction of the arrow
and remove the screen using the two recesses

Remove the heat protection filter by moving it
slightly upwards and then drawing it down­
wards to the front to release it from the holder.

To change the halogen lamp push the lamp
slider to the left in direction of the arrow
(see picture). The used lamp is disconnected
from its socket and you can take it out of the
unit.
Insert a new halogen lamp into the lamp slider.
Use the lamp protection cover and do not touch
the lamp with your bare fingers!
Move the lamp slider with the lamp to the right
until it stops. The lamp is now inserted into the
lamp socket.
Replace the heat protection filter and the
screen.
Intervall Light
Use a lamp 15 W / 220—230 V (socket E 14).

The lamp for the intervall light is placed in
a compartm ent on the lower side of the unit.
Move the cover of the compartment in direction
of the arrow. Now the lamp is visible and can be
replaced.
Picture 14 — Changing the Fuse
The holding device for the fuse is on the lower
side of the unit. It is unlocked by turning it in
anti-clockwise direction.
For a mains voltage of 220...230 V use a fuse
F 2 A.
Overheating Protection
The PAXISCOPE-XL is fitted with a thermo
safety switch which will switch o ff the lamp in
case of overheating (check whether the ventila­
tion slots have inadvertantly been covered).
The ventilation system is still working and after
a short time the projector will have cooled
down and the lamp is switched on autom ati­
cally then.
