Information on ETL certified sensors
ETL certified sensors of the series KAS-90/95...:
•
• Indoor use only
3110580
• Listed Component Conforms to UL Std. 61010-1
• Certified to Can/CSA Std. C22.2 No. 61010-1
• A fuse has to be installed directly at the AC supply (max. 250 V / 2 A, fast). A marked
emergency cut off switch must be installed for the user within easy reach of the unit.
General description
Capacitive sensors have been recognised in industrial automation for many years. They are used for the
approximation of liquids, pastes, powders, seeds, grains or granulates. The sensors can be connected
to PLC's or directly by the consumer for control purposes to a max. 2 A.
Advantages of the 95 series are:
• Supply voltage 20 - 250 V AC / DC
• Relay output, optional time relay (1 sec. - 10 min. adjustable)
• Optional on delay or off delay switchable
• Low power consumption, 2 mA only
• Intelligent micro controller technology
Mounting
The level sensors and level probes of the series 95 are for
non-flush mounting. That means they are designed for appli-
cations where the active area of the sensor is in contact with
the material to be detected.
With this kind of level control the sensor head (active area)
is completely immersed into the powder, granulate or liquid.
Tightening torque
Threaded sensors are supplied with 2 nuts. The
following table should be consulted when consider-
ing the maximum torgue. For mounting in threaded
blocks the maximum screw-in length has to be taken
into consideration (according to DIN13). For sensors
without thread the range of accessories provides
suitable mounting blocks.
